Derrick, a long time native to the Pacific Northwest, acquired his undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii and University of Oregon, then found himself back in the Rogue valley to pursue a love of baking. Derrick worked for 5 years as a Head Baker in Jacksonville, Oregon exploring his passion until it was time for a life change. Derrick has a deep-rooted love for the kitchen, for fantasy and spends his free time enjoying tabletop role playing games with his friends, working on a new recipes, and reading. Derrick brings a level of attentiveness to his work at NPA that comes from working in kitchens. With a keen eye for detail, Derrick brings the ability to multitask and maintain a level of focus from working under pressure in kitchens.
